Added several more lighthouses from Michigan today. I added the Robert H. I also added several pictures of the Holland Harbor Light to the archive section. For more information visit www. We just got back from our mile tour of mostly lower Michigan with a quick jaunt north to Whitefish Point Lighthouse. Once again, GPS becomes a huge saving grace. GPS guided us quickly and efficiently to the lighthouses. Stay tuned for the write up and lights coming soon.
We just got back from our trip to Toronto, Ontario. This was just kind of a "get out of town for the weekend" type trip. We did manage to see some lighthouses though. Added several lighthouses that were contributed. Barbers Point and Diamond Head. She has actually contributed many more, however, I have yet to get them up yet. I finally finished the writeup of my recent trip photographing the lighthouses of the Islands.
This will allow you to retrace my steps to visit the same lighthouses and hopefully take some of the guesswork out of finding them. I have finally finished adding all the lighthouses from my Islands trip back at the beginning of August. I covered 6 lighthouses in New York and 10 in Ontario, Canada. I have a lot of news to announce today: First off, I finished adding the rest of Dennis Kent's Michigan lighthouse photos.
Secondly, Patty Gise, a regular contributor to this website has submitted a bunch more Maine lighthouses to be featured on this page. These will be added as I get time. This will bring the Maine Lighthouse section up to 12 lighthouses. Lastly, I am starting a mailing list for this website.
The mailing list will send out messages from myself to let regular visitors know when lights have been added, or pages have been updated. Please e-mail the webmaster if you would like to be included on this list. Dennis Kent had contributed the first Hawaiian lighthouse to be featured on the www. I also have a bunch more Maine Lighthouses to add to the site that were contributed by Patty Gise. The archive page is finally available. The section will feature my whole lighthouse photograph collection. I still have a whole bunch of pictures that have yet to be scanned in. This section also features pictures that people have submitted that there is already a main page for.
I have added the first Michigan lighthouse to be featured on the www. Sorry for the delay. Katja Thomas has contributed a bunch more pictures. The St. Johns River Light has already been added, look for more to come. The lighthouses of the Florida Keys are now completely added. Still to come is my personal accounts of the trip. I also covered two that were not in the Florida Keys.
Sorry that the Florida Key's lighthouses are being put up so slowly, but I have been very busy. I have finished two more, though. Katja Thomas has also sent several more Florida lighthouse pictures that will be added in the near future. They are now up for viewing strictly through this page. They haven't been added to the database yet. I was in the Florida Keys from April 27 - May 2. While there I photographed the numerous lighthouses that mark the reefs. All lighthouse pictures have been scanned and I am currently working on adding the text for each.

I have since finished two lighthouses, they are Alligator Reef and Sombrero Key. The rest of the lighthouses and trip write up will be coming shortly I am still working on adding the Ohio Lighthouses that I took on March The lighthouse sitting on the grounds of the University of Connecticut has been identified as the Avery Point Lighthouse.
It is listed in all the regular lighthouse section now. The Lighthouse Mysteries section is now vacant. If you have any unidentified lighthouse pictures, please send then to me. Added a new section called Lighthouse Mysteries to get help in identifying a certain lighthouse that sits on the grounds of the University of Connecticut. I just got back from from visiting several Ohio lighthouses. I covered about 16 lighthouses and do have one of the new lighthouses up already - South Bass Island. After a few minor computer problems, which included reformatting my hard drive, I am back with some updates.
I finished adding some more of the California lighthouses that were sent to me by Micahel Jackman. I have also added two very nice Ohio lighthouses sent to me by Phyllis Ralston. I finally got around to putting up all the photographs that have been submitted over the last month. Pages that have been added:.
